Vanessa Trower

Vanessa Trower is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Nexperk, bringing more than 15 years of experience across learning, organisational development, change and workforce capability.

Her work sits at the intersection of people and performance: helping organisations understand the capability they need and designing practical ways to build it.

Vanessa has partnered with organisations across corporate, large organisations, industry environments, working on everything from leadership and workforce capability to learning transformation, technical development and organisational change.

Her approach combines strategic thinking with a strong understanding of how people actually learn, change and perform at work.

Vanessa is a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, Situational Leadership® certified, holds a Mini MBA, NIDA Corporate Performance Certification and brings expertise in HBDI® alongside postgraduate qualifications in organisational development, learning and human resources.

In 2020, she was recognised as the AITD Dr Alastair Rylatt Award L&D Professional of the Year, and her work has contributed to award-winning capability programs in 2024.

She is also the author of The Capability Illusion, published by the Institute for Learning & Performance, which introduces her Learning-to-Capability Evidence Ladder and explores how organisations can build stronger evidence of workforce readiness.

Still close to the work.

While Nexperk operates at a strategic level, Vanessa remains closely involved in the work itself. With an eye for design, Vanessa designs all programs and any digital learning.

She works alongside learning teams, leaders, subject matter experts and the people who will ultimately experience what Nexperk creates. It keeps strategy connected to reality, design connected to people and capability connected to performance.
